The 7-time Formula 1 World Champion Michael Schumacher drove at Spa in his 300th GP in Formula 1 in 2012 in his last season in the top class of racing for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team. During this race, Schumacher wore his personal driver's helmet, painted in platinum especially for this GP.
This helmet thus became an integral part of one of the greatest legends in motorsport. In the course of the JMD collection the design of this piece of motorsport history is now revived in this replica.
Since 1995 the JMD team has specialised in individual helmet designs for racing. Together with his team, the owner Jens Munser, longtime helmet designer of Michael and Mick Schumacher, produces hand-painted collector's items.
This replica of the Schuberth model used by Schumis is limited to 308 pieces. The air scoop and the visor panel are painted in the same design as the helmet, just like in racing. The helmet is made of carbon and the visor panel is the same as the racing visors. The paints used are the same as for the racing helmets and are applied by the experienced JMD team, guaranteeing the highest quality for this special product.
