Description
Michael Schumacher's Benetton Renault B195 model car in scale 1/18 from the manufacturer Minichamps. With this car Michael Schumacher became world champion in Formula 1 for the second time in 1995.
After the 1994 Formula 1 season was marked by many serious, fatal accidents, the FIA changed the safety regulations extensively in the following season, which strongly influenced the performance and appearance of the cars. The most significant change was probably the raising of the side cockpit walls, which should better protect the drivers' heads.
However, most drivers did not see this as a mere advantage. As a result, they complained more and more about the restricted field of vision while driving. With the exception of Schumacher, who was not impressed by this and already at the beginning of the season took off with impressive victories in the driver standings of his competitors.
The reigning champion from Germany won a total of nine of the 17 races. With this he won his second world championship title at a clear distance to his rivals Damon Hill and David Coulthard from the Williams-Renault Team. In addition, he won the Constructors' Championship together with his team mate Johnny Herbert - the first and only title for the Benetton team.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of his title defence, Schumacher's winning car from 1995 has now been released in a high-quality collector's box and a limited edition of 295 pieces. A must-have for the die-hard Schumacher fan and a real eye-catcher for every showcase.
